The overconsumption of soda has been one of the main causes to the increasing obesity rates in the U.S., according to numerous research studies as two out of three adults and one out of three children are considered to be obese. The average can of soda contains approximately 150 calories, which is equivalent to about 10 teaspoons of table sugar.
