For the 2014-2015 season, the minimum salary in the National Football League is $420,000 for a rookie. Salaries of NFL players can vary considerably. Highly valued players may earn in excess of one million dollars per year, and a few players even earn more than $10 million per year.
Players with more experience are guaranteed higher minimum salaries. In future years, these minimum amounts will increase. Many players earn a salary that significantly exceeds the minimum based on their experience level. For instance, during the 2013-2014 season, the Philadelphia Eagles paid Michael Vick $12,200,000. During this season, the Eagles paid many players over one million dollars.
