What is the name of a young goat?

A baby goat is called a "kid." A mature female goat is known as a "nanny" or "doe," while a male is known as a "buck" or "billy."

Approximately 200 breeds of goats exist around the world, and archaeologists believe they have been domesticated for at least 9,000 years. Goats have a limited lifespan of about 12 years, and on average, young kids reach sexual maturity at around six months of age. Although a typical brood produces one to three kids, female goats frequently give birth to twins. The average newborn kid weighs roughly 6 pounds, but some goat breeds can reach up to 250 pounds in adulthood.
