When have the NY Giants played in the Super Bowl?

As of 2015, the New York Giants have played in five Super Bowls, in 1987, 1991, 2001, 2008 and 2012. In Super Bowl XXI, the Giants' first appearance in a Super Bowl, they defeated the Denver Broncos 39-20.

In Super Bowl XXV, the Giants defeated the Buffalo Bills 20-19 when Scott Norwood missed a potential game-winning field goal. In Super Bowl XXXV, the Giants suffered their first and only Super Bowl loss when the Baltimore Ravens defeated them 34-7. In Super Bowl XLII, the Giants stopped the previously undefeated New England Patriots 17-14. In Super Bowl XLVI, the Giants defeated the Patriots again, this time by the score of 21-17.
