The day of the week that the Super Bowl is played is Sunday. The first Super Bowl was played on Sunday, January 15, 1967, and as of 2015, the last one was played on Sunday, February 1.

The Super Bowl is a football game played by the two teams who have performed the best in their conferences (NFC and AFC), or win the most games. The team who wins the Super Bowl is said to be the best team in the entire league for that season.

To date, the Pittsburgh Steelers lead all other teams, having won six Super Bowls. John Elway, the ex-Denver Bronco's quarterback, has started in more Super Bowls than any other quarterback, with a total of five.
