Who owns Coldwater Creek Outlet stores?

As of 2015, Coldwater Creek is owned by Sycamore Partners, an investment banking firm. Sycamore purchased Coldwater Creek during a Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceeding in 2014.

Coldwater Creek saw a decline in sales beginning in 2012. In the third quarter of the 2013 fiscal year, Coldwater Creek reported a net loss of $23.8 million from both in-store and online sales. Coldwater Creek was unable to obtain a buyer or investor and decided to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2014.

As of 2015, Sycamore Partners, the parent company of Coldwater Creek, also owns a number of other retail fashion stores. Among them are Hot Topic, Jones New York, Nine West, Aeropostale and Torrid. Sycamore has more than $5.3 billion under management and is working to expand its portfolio.
