Do penguins live in the tundra biome?

Penguins live in the Antarctic tundra biome. They do not live in the tundra at the North Pole.

The coldest of all biomes, the tundra has summers that last about two months with temperatures ranging from 3 to 12 degrees Celsius, and winters see temperatures below negative 34 degrees Celsius. Depending on the location, the tundra biomes see 24 hours of daylight or sunlight.

The majority of the tundra is uninhabited, but the animals that do live there are specially adapted to the harsh environment. Other animals that live in the tundra include seals, walruses and polar bears. Most of these animals live off fish found in the cold, icy waters.
