What is radiant heat flooring?
By Forinfos - 01/02/2026 - 0 comments
Radiant heat flooring is special type of flooring that uses panels mounted under the floor of a house to provide heat. Heat is delivered from the floor through the air and walls in a process called radiant heat transfer.
Radiant heat transfer is basically the transfer of heat through infrared radiation. Radiant heat flooring has several advantages over traditional heating, such as being a more efficient way of heating a house by eliminating heat loss that occurs when ducts are used. Radiant heat flooring may also be beneficial to people with allergies, as the process of heating using infrared radiation does not move allergens around like a traditional forced-air system does.
