How do you remove lint while washing clothes?

Although there are numerous methods to remove lint from clothes while washing, one method involves running the clothes through the air-only cycle of the dryer before washing. Add a dryer sheet to the dryer, which softens the fibers of the clothing.

1. Remove lint from the filter

   Before loading the dryer with the clothes, remove excess lint buildup from the dryer's filter.

2. Set the dryer's heat setting to air only

   Turn the clothes right-side-out, and place them into the dryer. Add a dryer sheet to soften the clothing. Run the dryer.

3. Wash the clothes

   When washing the clothes, be sure not to overload the washer. Overcrowding can redeposit lint onto the clothing.
