To remove urine smell from a bathroom, spray the toilet and surrounding surfaces with disinfectant, wipe it away, spray the same areas with odor eliminator, wipe it away, and use a toothbrush to clean the crevices. Flush vinegar to remove lingering urine smell from the pipes.
- Spray the surfaces with disinfectant
Spray all the surfaces around the toilet and the toilet itself with extra-strength disinfectant. Make sure to spray the surfaces under the lid. Wait one to two minutes.
- Wipe the surfaces down
While wearing gloves, use a clean, damp sponge to wipe the surfaces down. Rinse the sponge after every few wipes to keep it clean.
- Spray enzyme-based odor eliminator over the surfaces
Select an enzyme-based odor eliminator, and spray it over all the surfaces and inside the toilet. Wait several minutes for the foam to set.
- Wipe away the odor eliminator
Rinse your gloves and the sponge to avoid mixing chemicals. Use the damp sponge to wipe away the odor eliminator, rinsing the sponge frequently.
- Flush vinegar
In case something inside the toilet is trapping the smell, flush 1 cup of vinegar down the toilet.
- Scrub hard to reach small areas
Apply the odor eliminator to a toothbrush. Use the toothbrush to scrub around the toilet handle and any other crevices where urine might have collected. Rinse and re-apply the odor eliminator frequently.
- Rinse the crevices
Use the damp sponge to wipe away residual traces of the odor eliminator from the handle and crevices of the toilet.
