Rice cookers range in price from under $15 to $25, as of March 2015. The least expensive rice cookers offer one-touch operation that automatically shuts off when the rice finishes cooking, while models that are more expensive offer several different cooking cycles.

The Zojirushi NP-HBC18 10-cup rice cooker, one of the most expensive models, features induction cooking and a stainless steel pot. It also offers a special cooking cycle that begins by sprouting brown rice to increase its nutritional value. At the opposite end of the spectrum, the inexpensive Aroma 6-cup cooker cooks white rice, soups and stews in an aluminum pot.
