Do shedless dogs exist?

"Shedless" dogs do not exist. Although there are a variety of dog breeds that shed very little hair, even "hairless" dogs have fine hair and shed a minimal amount.
Most people who are allergic to pet dander often choose hairless or low-shedding dog breeds. Shedding is typically affected by sunlight, which stimulates the dog's hormones and increases the chance of shedding. Shedding in dogs can be reduced by providing a healthy diet and maintaining optimal temperatures in the home.
Some common breeds of low-shed dogs are the Australian terrier, Dachsund, Italian greyhound, Maltese, miniature poodle, shih tzu and Welsh terrier.
