How do I sign up at Gmail.com?

Visit Gmail.com and select "Create an Account" to sign up for a Gmail account. The account sign-in screen requests additional information before a Gmail account is granted.

To sign up for a Gmail account, a user needs to enter his first and last names, birthday and gender. Google allows users to select a username for the account. A user must also enter and verify the password he wants to use to access the account. Before completing registration, the user must first select the box at the bottom of the registration page to acknowledge the agreement with Google's terms and conditions.
