How do you sign up for locate my iPhone?

iCloud users can use the cloud to activate the Locate My Phone feature, also called Find My Phone. Users must enter their Apple ID, turn on "Find My Phone," then click on "Send Last Location."

Once this is activated, users can find the location of their phone when the battery is dead. Apple also receives information from the location of a phone when its battery is almost dead.

While Find My Phone is available for all Apple devices, it does not work until it has been activated through iCloud. For added security, Apple recommends choosing a passcode under the Settings feature. This allows only them to find their phone and nobody else.
