A cross between a St. Bernard and a standard poodle may be called a Saint Berdoodle. Miniature Saint Berdoodles are a cross between a miniature Saint Bernard and a miniature poodle. A miniature Saint Bernard is a cross between a cocker spaniel and a Saint Bernard.
The Saint Berdoodle mix is an attempt to produce a very large hypoallergenic, non-shedding dog. The dog makes an ideal family pet, being naturally very gentle with children. Saint Berdoodles are not very active and need only minimal exercise. Their coats do vary in type; about 20 percent of the puppies have a non-curly coat that sheds.
