What is a St. Bernard/husky mix?

A St. Bernard/husky mix refers to a dog that is part St. Bernard and part Siberian husky. Dogs of different breeds mate with one another to create puppies of mixed breed. These puppies gain some of the traits from both parents, though the inherited traits vary from breed to breed.

For example, a dog that is part St. Bernard and part Siberian husky is likely to be large in stature, as that is a dominant trait. However, the dog may also be prone to hip dysplasia, which is a condition common to both breeds. The American Kennel Club categorizes both breeds as working dogs that need a considerable amount of exercise.
