What is St. Paul the patron saint of?

St. Paul is the patron saint of writers, publishers, authors and the press because of his numerous writing contributions to churches he founded or visited. These letters are present throughout the New Testament of the Holy Bible.

According to many Christian religions, including the Catholic church, patron saints are virtuous men and women who support particular special interests. Their purpose is to intercede with God on behalf of their group. In his early days, Paul's Roman name was Saul. He was a bitter opponent of Jesus and the Christian religion. However, he was confronted with a revelation which charged him to become a missionary and spread the word of Jesus.
