When was St. Stephen born?

Saint Stephen, the first Christian Martyr and one of religion's first deacons, has no recorded date of birth. The first mention of Saint Stephen is in the sixth chapter of the Acts of the Apostles. The Acts include his ordination as deacon and an account of his trial.

Saint Stephen's martyrdom, which was preceded by his speech in front of the Sanhedrin, is recorded in the seventh chapter of the Acts of the Apostles. He is believed to have died in 34 CE. Historical notes indicate that Saint Stephen was a converted Jew of Greek origin and was appointed as deacon to help with the organization and distribution of alms in the early days of the Catholic Church.
