Who starred in "High School Musical"?

"High School Musical" had a large ensemble cast, but the starring roles of Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez were played by Zac Efron and Vanessa Anne Hudgens, respectively.

Other main cast members included Ashley Tisdale and Lucas Grabeel in the roles of Sharpay Evans and Ryan Evans, her brother. They were Troy and Gabriella's rivals for the main parts in the school musical. Corbin Bleu played Chad Danforth, Troy's best friend. Monique Coleman played the part of Taylor McKessie, Gabriella's best friend. All of the actors reprised their roles in the sequel "High School Musical 2", and the final movie in the series "High School Musical 3: Senior Year."
