A thornless cockspur hawthorn grows 15 to 18 feet tall with green leaves that age to intense yellow in the fall. It has showy white flowers in the spring. Its fruits are red and in clusters that form from late summer into early fall. Thornless cockspur hawthorn prefers to grow in full sun conditions and in well-draining soil. It is a low-maintenance tree that is drought resistant and has few pest issues.
