Where do tree frogs live?

Tree frogs live all over the world except for Antarctica. The amphibians are found in trees, ponds, lakes and other moisture-prone areas.

There are hundreds of different species of tree frogs, but only around 30 types live in the United States. South and Central America have the largest range of different species. Many are declining due to habitat changes from pollution and diseases. Tree frogs come in various colors including green and brown. Their diet consists of small insects including flies and crickets. Some tree frogs have an extremely long life-span, with some species living as long as 15 years.
