Are vehicle inspection forms available online?

Some state transportation agencies provide vehicle inspection forms on their websites, such as the New York State and Pennsylvania Departments of Transportation and the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles. The forms include salvage inspection reports, wrecker inspection reports and driver inspection reports.

The purpose of a driver's vehicle inspection report is to check each part of a vehicle to make sure it is safe for operation. Other types of reports, such as a salvage inspection report, checks for replaced parts in a vehicle and tests whether they are in working order. Some forms are intended to check for emissions, general safety or damage after a wreck.
