What is the weight of a Caterpillar D8?
By Forinfos - 23/12/2025 - 0 comments
The Caterpillar D8 bulldozer tractor was produced from 1941 to 1974 and weighed approximately 35,500 pounds. This weight is only for the base D8 base model and does not include any add-ons or modifications.
Although Caterpillar discontinued making the original D8 in 1974, they still produce two bulldozers that are based on that original model: the D8T Tier 4 Final and the D8T Tier 4 Interim/Stage III B. The 2014 Tier 4 Final weighs 86,900 pounds, while the slightly heavier Tier 4 Interim weighs 87,773 pounds. Although these two models may share a name with the original D8, they are much larger and more powerful than it was.
