Where in the world is coffee grown most?

As of 2011, the top coffee producer in the world is Brazil. Following behind are Vietnam, Colombia, Indonesia and India. In Brazil, arabica and robusta coffees are most predominately grown, both of which are known for being low-acid, medium-bodied coffees.
Soil quality and altitude of the area account for the success of coffee production in Brazil. Though coffee is grown extensively around the world, including in Asia, the Arabian Peninsula, East Africa, West Africa, South America, Central America, North America and the Caribbean, Brazil leads the coffee production substantially. Alone, it produces more coffee than the closest four countries produce together per year.
