Sister Miriam Theresa is a nun who belonged to the Sisters of Charity and who is being considered for sainthood, as of 2015. She was born Teresa Demjanovich in 1901 in Bayonne, New Jersey. Sister Miriam Theresa died in 1927 when she was 26 years old.
Sister Miriam Theresa entered the Sisters of Charity at Convent Station in 1925 and took her vows shortly before her death. She is being considered for sainthood by the Roman Catholic church for her saintly life, writings and the mystical privileges said to be accorded to her by God. She has one recognized miracle and on October 14, 2014 she was declared blessed. As of 2015, a second miracle in her name is needed for Sister Miriam Theresa to be canonized.
