Who wrote "Atlas of Human Anatomy"?

The "Atlas of Human Anatomy" is a compilation of illustrations of the human anatomy from Frank H. Netter (1906 - 1991). Described by The New York Times as being possibly the best-known medical illustrator in the world, Netter's illustrations depict every aspect of 20th-century medicine.

Though a successful commercial artist, Netter's family disapproved of his occupation. He switched to the medical field and supported himself through medical school doing illustrations. He practiced medicine until 1934, then began a five-decade exclusive contract with Ciba Pharmaceutical (now Novartis) in 1936. Netter's illustrations were distributed free to doctors and collected into popular textbooks.
