Who wrote the biblical book of Romans?

The scholarly consensus is that the apostle Paul wrote the book of Romans, the sixth book of the New Testament in the Christian Bible. The book was written as a letter to the Roman church while Paul was in Corinth around 56 or 57.

It was probably written during Paul's third missionary journey. Scriptures in the book of Romans indicate that Paul was interested in going on a mission trip to the Roman church.
