The most famous work called "The Price" is the play written by Arthur Miller, the well-known American playwright. There is also a graphic novel by Jim Starlin, a short story in Neil Gaiman's "Smoke and Mirrors" anthology and a song by the heavy metal band Twisted Sister titled "The Price."
Miller's "The Price," about the family dynamics of a retiring police officer, opened on Broadway in 1968, and was nominated for two Tony awards that year. While yet to be made into a movie as of 2015, a TV adaptation featuring George C. Scott was produced in 1979 and subsequently won two Emmy awards.
