Where is Yellowstone?

Yellowstone National Park is located in Wyoming in the western United States. A large part of it lies in Wyoming, but a small section of the park lies in the adjoining states of Idaho and Montana.

Yellowstone is a huge national park covering a land area of nearly 3,472 square miles. It was declared a national park in 1872 by President Ulysses S. Grant. Yellowstone is famous for its wildlife and geothermal springs. Yellowstone is also a recreational park that offers opportunities for kayaking, river rafting, hiking, camping, boating and fishing. It has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site.
