What do you call a Maltese-Pomeranian mix?

A Maltese-Pomeranian mix is considered a designer dog and is often called a Malti-Pom or Pomanees. The Maltipom is the most widely recognized name of the mix, as it is recognized by the American Canine Hybrid Club and multiple other dog registries and clubs.

Due to multigenerational breeding, there are some cases where Maltese-Pomeranian mixed puppies are not 50 percent Maltese and 50 percent Pomeranian. There is really no way to anticipate which characteristics of each contributing parent Maltipom puppies will exhibit, since the puppies can be born with any of the characteristics of the two breeds in proportions that are unpredictable.
