Baking soda is effective in removing gum stains from fabrics and clothes. It is an eco-friendly stain and odor remover that does not damage fabrics. Remove the gum from the fabric first before using baking soda paste.
Use an ice cube to freeze the gum directly, or place the fabric into a food bag to keep in the freezer until the gum is frozen. Remove the gum using a dull knife or butter knife to avoid damaging the fabric. Mix three parts of baking soda with one part of water, and spray on the stain. Allow it to soak for one hour, and then wash the fabric to remove the gum stain.
