As of 2015, Amazon.com has a selection of more than 100 stove top grills in its Home and Kitchen section. The cookware and cutlery specialty store Williams-Sonoma also has a selection of indoor grills and grill pans available.

Stove top grills are pans designed to mimic the effect outdoor grilling has on food. This is done by creating a very hot cooking surface in the pan that chars areas on the outside of the food placed on it. The pan also has recessed areas that allow liquid to run off of the cooking food, maintaining a uniform temperature on the cooking surface.
