Frank and Kathie Lee Gifford married on Oct. 18, 1986 and were together until his death on Aug. 9, 2015. Their marriage produced two children: son Cody, born in 1990, and daughter Cassidy, born in 1993.

The couple met when he was a substitute host on "Good Morning America." He at first tried to set her up with a friend, and the three lunched together. Frank and Kathie Lee ended up interested in each other, though he had a son her age.

The couple married on a beach in Bridgehampton, New York. Frank was a Hall of Fame professional football player and former broadcaster on "Monday Night Football." Kathie Lee is the former co-host of "Regis and Kathie Lee" and, as of 2015, is a co-host on "Today."
