Where is the Nile River?
By Forinfos - 07/08/2025 - 0 comments
The Nile River flows from south of the equator northward through northeastern Africa and drains into the Mediterranean Sea. Measuring approximately 4,132 miles, the Nile is the longest river in the world.
The basin of the Nile includes Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Kenya, Ethiopia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, South Sudan, Sudan and Egypt. The Nile is formed from three principal sources: the Blue Nile, the White Nile and the Atbara. The Nile supports the population living on its banks by providing water to a region that would otherwise be an inhospitable part of the Sahara desert. The Nile has been used to transport goods along its length for centuries.
