What is One Great Hour of Sharing?

One Great Hour of Sharing is a Christian-based initiative that helps people who are affected by disasters. The initiative focuses its efforts on providing clean water to areas that need it, food to areas that can't grow it and helping to empower people to take care of themselves when possible.

People can donate money to the mission through several churches, including the United Church of Christ, Reformed Church in America, Presbyterian Church and the American Baptist Church. As of 2015, the mission has over 100 ongoing projects across the world, including North America. The organization also helps aid refugees from war-torn regions.
