The Speaker of the House of Representatives is second in line to succeed the office of the President of the United States. In November 2012, John Boehner was elected to his 12th term as representative of the Eighth Congressional District of Ohio. Boehner is a member of the Republican Party and supports reducing the size and spending of the U.S. Government. One of 13 children, Boehner was born in Ohio and lives there still as of September 2014.
