What is a PZEV?

PZEV stands for partial zero emissions vehicle. A partial zero emissions vehicle does not give off any evaporative emissions from its fuel system. As of 2014, all partial zero emissions vehicles have 15-year/150,000-mile warranties on their emissions system.
All partial zero emission vehicles use gasoline as fuel. Evaporative emissions are a result of gasoline vapors that are released from a car's emission system. Partial zero emissions vehicles are better for the environment than conventional cars that do give off emissions. All partial zero emission vehicles have a very good smog rating of 9 on a scale of 1 to 10.
