Half Moon Cay, also known as Little San Salvador Island, is a very small island mostly used as a stopover port for cruise ships. Carnival Cruise Lines owns the island, which offers private beaches with swimming and water sports for its passengers, as of 2015.

Carnival Cruise visitors can also enjoy a free buffet while relaxing on the island. Other activities include basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, horseback riding and a straw market that sells a variety of goods. There are also a number of bars on the beach. Since tenders are required to dock on the island, it is usually only accessible to cruise ships.
