Use a polyvinyl acetate emulsion to glue tiles to concrete and construction mastic adhesive for tiling or laying carpets. Use mortar for outdoor constructions and silicone caulk for an attractive, waterproof seal.
Clean and dry concrete well before applying an adhesive. Wearing goggles and gloves, apply the adhesive evenly to one surface. Bring the two surfaces together slowly, and clamp the surfaces together if necessary. Allow to dry undisturbed for at least eight but preferably 24 hours. Clean any excess adhesive immediately with a damp cloth. To ensure the best bond, the concrete should be between 65 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit.
