Eggs, soy milk, tofu, pumpkin seeds, dried beans and peanut butter are just a few of the many types of seeds, grains and meat alternatives that can provide plenty of protein to vegetarians. Almonds, seitan and Greek yogurt are also good sources of protein.
Vegetarians can combine many non-meat foods to make a protein-rich meal. For example, a chipotle bean burrito contains 41.4 grams of protein per serving, while a serving of blueberry protein pancakes contains 42 grams of protein.
Vegetarians can also add protein powder or high-protein seeds and grains such as quinoa or hemp seeds to smoothies or other foods for extra protein intake.
