Are Whirlpool Duet washers energy efficient?

Whirlpool Duet washers are ENERGY STAR certified, so the appliances meet government standards to help consumers save money on utility bills and conserve natural resources. The Duet washers are also CEE Tier III rated, which is the Consortium for Energy Efficiency's highest efficiency rating.

Whirlpool offers nine Duet washer models. All Duet models have the precision-dispense feature, which dispenses the detergent throughout the fill cycle so that less detergent is needed, and automatically adjust water levels based on the laundry load. Three of the models have the precision-dispense-ultra feature, which allows the washer to hold enough detergent for multiple loads of laundry.
