What is a reverse brindle boxer?

A reverse brindle boxer is a dog of the boxer breed with a pattern of light broken stripes upon a dark background coat of the same hue. Brindle is a common coat pattern in boxers, and normal brindle in these dogs consists of black stripes upon a fawn background.
Genetically, reverse brindle is identical to regular brindle. The only difference is a matter of degree. Both brindle and reverse brindle boxers have a base coat that is fawn, but in reverse brindle, the black stripes are so heavy that they crowd out the fawn coloration except for narrow areas in between stripes. Dogs with stripes that are slightly less thick as to retain the appearance of a fawn coat are said to be heavy brindle.
