The American bald eagle lives in most of the taiga of North America. Up to 80 percent of American bald eagles have been observed to live in Alaska.
The American bald eagle is considered to be a sea eagle. It builds different types of nests that are generally large and located in trees, on cliffs or on the ground. It can change the shape of its nest depending on the type of tree.
Young bald eagles spend their early years in nomadic exploration of great stretches of land. They can fly up to several hundreds of miles per day. Some birds from California have even been able to reach Alaska.
