The national flower of the Dominican Republic is the Bayahibe rose. The rose was officially declared the nation's flower on July 12, 2011.

The flower can be found in the Bayahibe region of the Dominican Republic, of which it is a native species. The Bayahibe Rose is also known by its scientific name, Pereskia quisqueyana, and is critically endangered, according to The IUNC Red List of Threatened Species. The pink colored rose is found along coastlines of the Bayahibe region, which is a highly trafficked tourist area. In 2014, the Dominican Republic began printing currency bearing a depiction of the Bayahibe Rose.
